Are you a qualified SEN Teacher looking for flexible supply work across Birmingham?
CERT Solutions are currently recruiting experienced SEN Teachers to support special schools across Birmingham, with opportunities for day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements.
We work with a wide range of specialist settings supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, so we’re looking for teachers who are confident adapting their teaching to meet individual needs.
The Role:
- Teaching pupils across a range of ages and abilities within specialist settings
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASC/ASD, SLD, MLD, PMLD and complex needs
- Following EHCPs and individual learning plans
- Managing behaviour positively and effectively
- Working closely with TAs, support staff and the wider school team
- Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
- Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
We’re looking for:
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience working within SEN or special school settings
- Experience supporting pupils with complex or additional needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A flexible, patient and nurturing approach
- The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
