We are currently recruiting for a Centre Manager to oversee a new education centre in Birmingham, supporting children and young people who may have experienced challenging circumstances within education.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager who is confident leading a team, managing a busy centre and creating a positive, safe and structured environment for young people.
The Role:
- Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the centre
- Leading, supporting and managing a team of Learning Mentors
- Creating a positive, safe and consistent environment for children and young people
- Supporting staff to effectively manage behaviour and individual learner needs
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and external professionals
- Overseeing the smooth running of the centre and ensuring high standards are maintained
- Managing day-to-day issues and responding appropriately to challenging situations
- Supporting the development and implementation of effective routines and processes
- Working collaboratively with the wider management team
- Helping to ensure the centre provides a supportive and engaging environment for learners
About You:
- Previous management or leadership experience is essential
- Experience working with children or young people is highly desirable
- Experience within education, alternative provision, pastoral support, youth work, mental health, behaviour support or a similar environment would be advantageous
- Confident managing and supporting a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, resilient and confident when dealing with challenging situations
- Able to build positive relationships with young people and staff
- Organised, proactive and able to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a centre
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, as occasional travel between centres may be required
