Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible supply work in Erdington?
CERT Solutions are currently recruiting passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work across special schools in and around Erdington, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
Whether you’re looking for regular day-to-day supply, short-term placements or the opportunity to secure a longer-term position, we can offer roles to suit your availability and experience.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASC/ASD, SLD, MLD, PMLD and complex needs
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with their learning, communication and development
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working alongside teachers and specialist support staff
- Following individual EHCPs and personalised learning plans
- Creating a safe, positive and nurturing environment
We are looking for:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Experience within a special school, residential setting or support work environment is highly desirable
- Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Childcare, Health & Social Care or a related subject is advantageous
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Confidence supporting pupils with complex or challenging needs
- Someone who is proactive and willing to get involved
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
