CERT Solutions are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist school based in Great Barr, supporting pupils with visual impairments.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who understands that every pupil learns differently and has the knowledge and creativity to adapt their teaching to suit individual needs. We are looking for someone who can bring lessons to life, think outside the box and ensure that visual impairment is never a barrier to a pupil’s education.
You will be joining a specialist learning environment where building confidence, encouraging independence and celebrating individual achievements are at the heart of everything.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Have previous experience teaching children or young people with visual impairments.
- Have experience working within a specialist SEN setting.
- Be confident adapting lessons, resources and teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Have a strong understanding of inclusive teaching and differentiated learning.
- Be patient, enthusiastic, resilient and compassionate.
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Be passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

CERT Solutions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and be required to complete and pass Safeguarding and Prevent training level 2.
