Description
We are currently recruiting a compassionate and committed PMLD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties within a specialist educational setting in Lozells.
The ideal candidate will be patient, caring and passionate about helping children with complex needs develop their skills, confidence and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with their daily learning and development.
- Provide individual and small-group support tailored to each child’s needs.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Encourage communication, sensory exploration and social interaction.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide effective support.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months’ relevant experience working with children or young people.
- A recognised child or care related qualification.
- A caring, patient and adaptable approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
