CERT Solutions are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher with QTS to work within a specialist secondary school in the Erdington area, supporting pupils with ASC and SEMH needs.

The Role:

  • SEN Teacher required for a specialist autism/SEMH school in Erdington
  • Working with secondary-aged pupils
  • Full-time, long-term opportunity
  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Supporting pupils with autism and associated learning needs
  • Creating a structured, consistent and nurturing classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils’ communication, independence and social development
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching within an SEN or specialist autism setting
  • Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Experience supporting secondary-aged pupils
  • Confident adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities
  • Knowledge of strategies such as TEACCH, visual timetables and sensory regulation would be beneficial
  • Patient, resilient and passionate about making a difference
