PMLD Teaching Assistant – Erdington

Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting with personal care, feeding and moving & handling where required
• Supporting communication through sensory and interactive learning activities
• Promoting independence and engagement throughout the school day
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months’ experience supporting children or young people with SEND, complex needs, care or support work
• Relevant qualification such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, Childcare, Health & Social Care, Psychology or Education Studies
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
