CERT Solutions is currently seeking a driven and innovative English Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school situated in central Birmingham from January through to July.
This full-time post involves delivering comprehensive English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. It offers an excellent setting for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) aiming to gain valuable secondary teaching experience, as well as an established practitioner looking to make an immediate impact within a busy department.

• Pay Scale: MPS1 – UPS3 (Paid via PAYE, dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver with Impact: Plan and teach structured, engaging English Language and Literature lessons tailored to diverse learning levels across KS3 and KS4.
• Foster a Positive Atmosphere: Maintain an encouraging, focused classroom culture where pupils feel confident improving their reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Active Assessment: Track student attainment, mark work regularly in line with school policies, and prepare students thoroughly for assessments.
• Collaborate & Integrate: Partner closely with English department colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum resources.

Requirements
• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or a recognised secondary teaching qualification with an English focus.
• Solid subject knowledge across the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum.
• Recent teaching experience within a secondary school setting.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational abilities.
• Commitment to driving pupil progress and raising literacy standards.
