CERT Solutions is proud to partner with a vibrant secondary school based near Handsworth to recruit a passionate Art & Design Teacher to start as soon as possible.
This role involves delivering engaging Art & Design lessons through to July 2027. It is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment and established teachers seeking a rewarding setting.
• Location: Near Handsworth (West Midlands)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Full-time (Through to July 2027)
• Pay Scale: MPS1 – UPS3 (Paid via PAYE, dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver with Impact: Plan and lead high-quality, inspiring Art & Design lessons tailored to diverse learning styles across KS3 and KS4.
• Foster a Positive Atmosphere: Cultivate a safe, structured, and creative studio space where students feel encouraged to express themselves.
• Active Assessment: Track student progress, evaluate practical work, and provide constructive feedback in line with school policies.
• Collaborate & Integrate: Work seamlessly with the creative arts department and wider school staff to uphold high standards.
• Inspire & Guide: Act as a positive role model, encouraging student artistic expression and a genuine appreciation for the arts.
Requirements
• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or a recognised teaching qualification with an Art & Design focus.
• Strong subject knowledge across the KS3 and KS4 Art & Design curriculum.
• Relevant teaching experience within a secondary school setting.
• Excellent classroom management, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and student growth.
