Description
We are currently seeking 6 enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to join a primary special school in the Edgbaston area. These positions will begin on a supply basis, with the potential to transition into permanent roles from September for those who are a good fit.
Role Overview:
- Providing support to primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs, including:
- Speech and Language difficulties
- Cognition and learning needs
- Autism (ASC)
- Occasional challenging behaviour
- Supporting learning on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
- Supporting pupils’ overall development, both academically and socially
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school, care, or similar setting
- Calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour support
- Flexible and dependable, with a strong work ethic
- Available to work full-time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
- Able to work well as part of a team
