Description
CERT Solutions are currently working in partnership with a number of welcoming and well-established primary schools across Stoke-on-Trent. Due to an increasing demand for support staff, we are looking to appoint enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated Teaching Assistants for a range of day-to-day, short-term and long-term assignments.
We have opportunities available for both General Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work, those seeking to develop their experience, or experienced support staff looking for their next role.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to support pupils across a range of primary school settings. Depending on your experience and the needs of the school, responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and SEN
- Helping to create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
- Assisting with classroom activities, preparation and organisation
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to engage with their learning
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
- Providing consistent and nurturing support to pupils throughout the school day
SEN Teaching Assistants
We are particularly interested in hearing from Teaching Assistants with experience supporting children with SEND, including pupils with autism, ADHD, communication and interaction needs, behavioural needs or other additional learning requirements.
Experience working on a one-to-one basis or within specialist provisions would be advantageous, although relevant experience and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs are equally valued.
We Welcome
- Experienced Teaching Assistants looking for flexible working
- SEN Teaching Assistants with relevant experience
- Minimum Level 2 Qualification
- Graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience
- Individuals with childcare, education or youth work backgrounds
- Candidates with experience supporting children with additional needs

- Enthusiastic individuals with a genuine passion for helping children succeed
