CERT Solutions are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham to recruit a dedicated and experienced Year 2 Teacher for a long-term supply position.

This is a full teaching role, ideal for a committed professional who is confident taking full responsibility for a class and becoming an integral part of the school community.

The role will run until at least the end of the 2026 academic year and potentially into the new academic year in September.

The Role:

  • Full-time Year 2 class teacher
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Monitoring and tracking pupil progress
  • Attending staff meetings, parents’ evenings, and school events where required
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Be confident with planning and assessment responsibilities
  • Show commitment to raising standards and pupil achievement
  • Be reliable, adaptable, and proactive
