CERT Solutions are currently recruiting for enthusiastic, caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Handsworth and the surrounding areas.
We have a range of opportunities available for Teaching Assistants looking for full-time or part-time work, including long-term placements and day-to-day supply positions.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and personally. You will work closely with teachers and school staff to ensure pupils receive the individual support they need to engage with their learning and thrive in the classroom.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
- Supporting pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
- Adapting resources and activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills.
- Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other school staff.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
About You
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are:
- Required to hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Patient, caring and understanding.
- Reliable and committed to providing high-quality support.
- Confident working independently and as part of a wider school team.
- Adaptable and able to respond to different pupil needs.
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) or other SEN would be particularly advantageous.

CERT Solutions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and be required to complete and pass Safeguarding and Prevent training level 2.
