Cert Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Special School in Oldbury, who are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Class Teacher to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher with QTS who has previous experience working within a specialist SEN setting and is passionate about making a real difference to pupils with additional needs.
The Role:
- Full-time Class Teacher position
- Full responsibility for the class
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Preparing resources and learning activities
- Assessing, marking and tracking pupil progress
- Working closely with support staff and the wider school team
- Providing consistency, structure and continuity for pupils
About the Pupils:
The school supports pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) who benefit from a nurturing, structured and highly supportive learning environment. Continuity and commitment are particularly important, so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a genuine passion for working with pupils with complex learning needs.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS
- Has previous experience working within an SEN/Special School
- Has experience supporting pupils with SLD or complex learning needs
- Is confident taking full responsibility for a class
- Can plan, prepare, deliver and mark independently
- Is patient, nurturing and adaptable
- Can provide stability, consistency and commitment
- Works effectively as part of a wider school team
