Cert Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming school in Smethwick, who are looking for a dedicated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and caring Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is passionate about helping pupils thrive in an early years setting.
The Role:
- Full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant position
- Supporting pupils across the EYFS setting
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required
- You may be required to work with more than one pupil throughout the day
- Supporting pupils with their learning, development and emotional wellbeing
- Helping create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Experience Required:
The school are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience supporting pupils with:
- ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)
- ADHD
- Undiagnosed additional needs
- A range of learning, behavioural and communication needs
The successful candidate will need to be confident, patient and adaptable, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils who may require additional support.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within EYFS
- Previous SEN experience is essential
- Confident supporting pupils with additional needs
- Experience with ASC and ADHD is highly desirable
- Able to adapt their approach to meet individual pupil needs
- Patient, nurturing and resilient
- Comfortable providing both individual and group support
- Reliable and committed to a full-time role
