We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive special school in Oldbury for a full-time SEN Teacher to join their team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a KS3 semi-formal class, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs through an engaging, personalised curriculum. The successful candidate will be committed to helping every student reach their full potential while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Role:
- Full-time SEN Teacher
- Teaching a KS3 semi-formal class
- September start
- Long-term opportunity within a well-established special school
- Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider school team
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have previous experience working within a special school or with pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Be confident in adapting teaching to meet a range of learning needs
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young people
What You Will Be Doing:
- Promoting inclusion and acceptance of all students
- Delivering small group or one to one catch up sessions
- Supporting pupils according to their individual needs
- Working with the class teacher to plan, evaluate and adjust lessons
All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
