CERT Solutions are working with a secondary school based in Hall Green area who are looking for a Science Technician to start ASAP. It is a large secondary with great transport links, supporting departments and outstanding ofsted reports.
The head teacher is keen to find a Lab technician who can start from the ASAP however, they are willing to wait for the perfect candidate! Interviews and trial days will take place as soon as possible!
Start Date: ASAP (Ideally before October Half term)
End date: July 2027 (Perm options available)
The desired technician will have strong values and a dedication to safeguarding to all students.
The successful technician will essentially have:
- Lab technician experience – Secondary, College or university
- Relevant qualifications – BTEC National Diploma/Extended Diploma in Applied Science, or a relevant T-Level/NVQ Level 3 in Laboratory Skills.
- Clear DBS on the update service
- 2 Years of work references
Your responsibilities will be:
- To organise the Science departments to a high standard
- Order stock and maintain a level of materials
- To support the other members of staff at the school
- Follow the behavioural policies set by the school
- Maintain health & safety in line with school procedures
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
