CERT Solutions are working with a secondary school based in Aston, Birmingham who need a Finance Manager.
The role is a full time position, working from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. The role will be so support and run the finance department, running reports, budgeting and forecasting, planning, compliance etc.
The school is a large secondary based in Aston. They are rated Good by Ofsted and have great transport links.
Pay:
Paid via PAYE – £150 TO £200 a day depending on experience.
What you will Do:
- Produce financial reports: Create monthly health checks, profit statements, and balance sheets to track company performance.
- Manage budgets: Plan annual company spending and track costs to ensure departments stay within their limits.
- Forecast future performance: Model financial trends and predict future revenue to guide business decisions.
- Advise executive leadership: Give clear data-driven recommendations to directors on how to grow profits and reduce costs.
- Ensure legal compliance: Oversee tax filings, manage financial risks, and make sure the company follows all financial regulations.
Requirements:
- Professional Certifications: A recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (in the UK) or a CPA designation internationally.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, advanced Excel, and Ideally school system experience
- Soft Skills: Strong commercial acumen, analytical abilities, and the communication skills required
