CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a fantastic secondary based near Kidderminster who require a teacher of Computer Science.
About the role
The role is a temporary position as it’s covering an absent member of staff. The cover will be ASAP for the remainder of the academic year. Cover is likely to be needed in September too, however there isn’t a specific end date. This may be suitable for Teachers as well as unqualified teachers/ Instructors looking for a short term role.
A Bit about the school:
The school is a large secondary based near Kidderminster. Rated Good by Ofsted. They have a large onsite car park as well and great trasport links.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 via PAYE depending on your current pay grade
What you will Do:
- Deliver with Impact: Lead engaging and innovative lessons, adapting quickly to diverse learning needs and ensuring students stay on track with their curriculum.
- Foster a Positive Atmosphere: Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, encouraged, and ready to learn.
- Active Assessment: Monitor student engagement and progress throughout the day, providing constructive feedback and ensuring all work is marked in line with school policy.
- Collaborate & Integrate: Work seamlessly with fellow educators and support staff, contributing to the school’s vibrant community and professional standards.
- Inspire & Guide: Act as a positive role model and mentor, nurturing students’ curiosity and encouraging a genuine love for learning
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Computer Science/ICT (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Computer Science and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
