CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a fantastic secondary school based near Stourbridge who are looking for a full time PE Teacher from Septmeber.
About the role
The role is a full time position which may be a perm opportunity too. Perfect for an established teacher as well and ECT’s looking to kick start their career. You’d be required to teach Physical and Practical up to KS4. KS5 would be welcomed as they have a sixth form however it isn’t a deal breaker!
A Bit about the school:
The school is a large secondary based 10 minutes from the Stourbridge area. It has fantastic transport links as well as a large onsite car park. Rated Good in their last Ofsted report. The PE department are extremely supportive and welcoming.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 via PAYE depending on your current pay grade
What you will Do:
- Deliver with Impact: Lead engaging and innovative lessons, adapting quickly to diverse learning needs and ensuring students stay on track with their curriculum.
- Foster a Positive Atmosphere: Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, encouraged, and ready to learn.
- Active Assessment: Monitor student engagement and progress throughout the day, providing constructive feedback and ensuring all work is marked in line with school policy.
- Collaborate & Integrate: Work seamlessly with fellow educators and support staff, contributing to the school’s vibrant community and professional standards.
- Inspire & Guide: Act as a positive role model and mentor, nurturing students’ curiosity and encouraging a genuine love for learning
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Physical Education (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in sports and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
