CERT Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Complex Needs SEN Teacher to join a specialist educational setting on a full-time basis for one academic year, starting in September 2026.
This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a qualified teacher who has substantial experience supporting pupils with severe and complex special educational needs, including those with profound learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory impairments, and associated medical or physical needs.
Prior to the commencement of the role, the successful candidate will be required to attend a meeting with the school to ensure the placement is the right fit for both parties.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Demonstrable experience teaching pupils with severe and complex special educational needs.
- A strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and personalised learning.
- Experience working with pupils who may have complex communication, sensory, behavioural, physical, or medical needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and other professionals.
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress.
- Support pupils in achieving their individual educational and developmental targets.
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive outcomes for all learners.
