CERT Solutions are looking to recruit Science teachers as we are working with a number of schools across the West Midlands who are in need of GCSE Science cover!
About the roles
The roles are all full time, long term opportunities starting from September 2026. KS3 – KS4 teaching across all science subjects. You will be required to work full time, Monday to Friday and expected to plan and mark in line with the curriculum.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 via PAYE depending on your current pay grade
What you will Do:
- Deliver with Impact: Lead engaging and innovative lessons, adapting quickly to diverse learning needs and ensuring students stay on track with their curriculum.
- Foster a Positive Atmosphere: Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, encouraged, and ready to learn.
- Active Assessment: Monitor student engagement and progress throughout the day, providing constructive feedback and ensuring all work is marked in line with school policy.
- Collaborate & Integrate: Work seamlessly with fellow educators and support staff, contributing to the school’s vibrant community and professional standards.
- Inspire & Guide: Act as a positive role model and mentor, nurturing students’ curiosity and encouraging a genuine love for learning
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Science (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Science and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
