CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a selection of secondary schools in Kidderminster who require daily general cover teachers. As well as needing long term staff, we have noticed an increase in demand for day to day supply. Therefore, we are looking for teachers/tutors/instructors and cover supervisors who would be available to cover schools in this area.

About the role

The role will include covering pre planned lessons, delivering the subject, supporting students whilst maintaining strong classroom management. Day to day cover gives you the flexibility to work the days you want. We can accommodate 1 – 5 days per week depending on your availability. Our secondary consultant, Richard will contact you as early as possible, either the week or day before if the cover is pre planned. If a school need emergency cover on the same day, we aim to sort this between 6am and 8am ideally to ensure you arrive by 8:30!

Pay:

General cover staff pay can vary depending on whether you are a qualified teacher, an instructor or a cover supervisor. QTS staff get between £160 to £200 per day depending on experience and pay grade. Instructors are between £140 to £160 and cover supervisors are £100 to £130

For long term bookings, you can expect the rates to increase – we will be transparent with all staff about rates and role responsibilities prior to the booking and once confirmed, email a booking confirmation with all the details in writing.

What you will Do:

  • Deliver with Impact: Lead engaging and innovative lessons, adapting quickly to diverse learning needs and ensuring students stay on track with their curriculum.
  • Foster a Positive Atmosphere: Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, encouraged, and ready to learn.
  • Active Assessment: Monitor student engagement and progress throughout the day, providing constructive feedback and ensuring all work is marked in line with school policy.
  • Inspire & Guide: Act as a positive role model and mentor, nurturing students’ curiosity and encouraging a genuine love for learning

Requirements:

  • Teachers – A recognized teaching qualification (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
  • Cover supervisors – A Degree qualification and at least 6 months school experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
