CERT Solutions are working with a secondary school based near Moseley, Birmingham, who are looking for a Science Technician to start ASAP.
The hours for this role are 9:30am to 2pm which may be ideal for candidates with parent duties!
Start Date: January/February 2026 (ASAP ideally)
End date: July 2026
The desired technician will have strong values and a dedication to safeguarding to all students. This role would be suitable for NQT’s or teachers who want a technician role.
The successful technician will essentially have:
- Lab technician experience – Secondary, College or university experience
- Have a real passion for your subject that you can instil into your pupils
- Clear DBS on the update service
Your responsibilities will be:
- To organise the Science departments to a high standard
- Order stock and maintain a level of materials
- To support the other members of staff at the school
- Follow the behavioural policies set by the school
- Maintain health & safety in line with school procedures
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
