CERT Solutions are working in partnership with an Outstanding secondary school in South West Birmingham/ Stourbridge area who require a full-time Performing Arts Teacher.
About the role
The role is a long term cover, as a member of staff has gone off on maternity leave. The role starts ASAP and will be full time. You will be required to cover Drama and Dance. The hours are 8:20 to 3:45.
A Bit about the school:
The school is a large mixed secondary rated outstanding by Ofsted in all areas. It has a large onsite car park, excellent transport links with access to the train only a 2 minute walk away and a regular bus service.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 (£168.80 – £261 per day PAYE) depending on your current pay grade
What you’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for Drama and Performing Arts.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Drama & Dance (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Performing Arts and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
