CERT Solutions are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed SEN Resource Base Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN practitioner to make a real difference to pupils with additional needs within a well-established resource base provision.
The Role
As the SEN Resource Base Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils. You will work closely with teaching assistants, the school’s SENCO and wider staff team to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support and are able to make progress both academically and socially.
The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and working both within the resource base and, where appropriate, alongside the mainstream school.
The Successful Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Has previous experience working within an SEN school or SEN Resource Base
- Has a strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs
- Can plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Is confident managing behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
- Works effectively as part of a wider SEN and mainstream school team
- Is nurturing, patient and committed to achieving positive outcomes for pupils
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
