CERT Solutions are searching for a Year 6 Class Teacher to join a lovely two form entry primary school in Handsworth. This is a full-time, long-term position starting September 2025, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact at a crucial stage in pupils’ academic journey.
The school are open to meeting both experienced teachers and ECTs as long as they have experience within Year 6 and are committed to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Year 6 Teacher, your core responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum, with a strong focus on SATs preparation.
- Tracking and assessing pupils’ progress using a variety of formative and summative methods.
- Maintaining a well-organised, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and high expectations.
- Providing targeted support and challenge to ensure all pupils reach their full potential, including those with SEND and EAL.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, subject leads, and the wider school team.
- Participating in school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and CPD opportunities.
- Liaising with parents and carers effectively to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Contributing to the wider school community, including enrichment activities and school events.
Requirements:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and SATs expectations.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
