CERT Solutions are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a large school community in the heart of Harborne. This is a full-time maternity cover position, beginning in January, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a vibrant and lively KS2 class.
About the Class
You will be teaching a Year 4 cohort of approximately 20-25 pupils. The class is a wonderful mix of personalities—curious, imaginative, and eager to learn. They thrive on creative lessons, structured routines, and hands-on learning opportunities. The group includes children with a range of abilities, including some who benefit from additional support, and several who relish extension and challenge. They respond well to a teacher who is patient, engaging, and able to bring lessons to life.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from teachers who can demonstrate:
- UK QTS
- Strong classroom management and an ability to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly Year 4 expectations.
- A passion for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across all subjects.
- Strong communication skills with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A reflective and collaborative approach to teaching.
- Commitment to upholding the school’s values and contributing to wider school life.
