Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a supportive primary school?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wednesbury that is seeking a full-time Upper Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across Year 5 and Year 6, supporting pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teachers to deliver high-quality classroom support, helping to ensure all pupils reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Provide classroom support across both Year 5 and Year 6.
  • Work alongside the class teachers to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, and within whole-class activities.
  • Help to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Assist with preparing classroom resources and supporting behaviour management strategies.
  • Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and academic progress.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has previous experience working within a primary school setting, ideally in Upper KS2.
  • Is confident supporting learning across both Year 5 and Year 6.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Is enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable.
  • Has a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
