CERT Solutions are delighted to be working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Selly Oak, who are looking for a dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team after the half-term break.
In this role, you will play an important part in supporting pupils’ learning and development within a lively Year 3 classroom. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to help deliver creative lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and provide one-to-one and small-group support to ensure all children make great progress.
This is a full-time position, continuing throughout the academic year with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, preparation, and classroom organisation
- Provide additional support to pupils who may need extra help with their learning
- Encourage and promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Supervise children during non-teaching times such as playtimes and lunchtimes
About You:
- Previous experience working within a primary school, ideally in Key Stage 1
- A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children’s learning
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential
- An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
