We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to provide key support to pupils across KS2 at a special school in Tipton. This full-time role offers the chance to support students who require additional support and guidance. This role will be from 8:30am – 3:30pm and will start ASAP for the right candidate!
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom.
- Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting support strategies as needed.
- Building positive relationships with students, parents, and caregivers to foster a supportive home-school partnership.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive school culture where all students feel valued and respected.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are preferred.
