About the Role:
You will be supporting pupils aged 4–19 with a range of significant needs, including physical disabilities, medical needs, sensory impairments, and non-verbal communication. The role includes assisting with personal care, supporting therapy-based activities, and working closely with the class teacher and wider multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support tailored to individual learning and care needs
- Assist with personal care, hoisting, feeding and hygiene routines as required
- Use a variety of communication aids such as PECS, Makaton or AAC devices
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Follow individual learning plans and contribute to pupil progress
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs or PMLD
- Comfortable with personal care and manual handling
- Calm, empathetic, and consistent in approach
- Relevant training (Moving & Handling, PEG feeding, Safeguarding, etc.) is a plus
- Available to work Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
