Description
We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in the Selly Oak area of South Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025, supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties and speech, language, and communication needs.
What to expect:
- Working within small class groups to support engagement and learning
- Collaborating with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
- Supporting pupils’ emotional regulation, communication and personal development
Key Details:
- Start date: September 2025
- Location: Selly Oak, South Birmingham
- Pay: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, school hours
- Contract: Full-time, long-term
Ideal candidate:
- Experience supporting children with SEND (particularly SLD or communication needs)
- Patient, nurturing and resilient
- Holds a level 2 or 3 qualification
- Able to work as part of a close-knit team
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
