CERT Solutions are searching for a committed, caring, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to the Resource Base team at a mainstream primary school in Digbeth. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with special educational needs in a nurturing, inclusive, and well-resourced setting.

The Role

In this role you will work closely with class teachers, the SENCo, and other professionals to support pupils with a range of needs, which may include autism, communication and interaction needs, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will help pupils access the curriculum, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils individually and in small groups
  • Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
  • Assist with the implementation of EHCP targets and individual support plans
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support personal care needs where required
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external professionals
  • Contribute to monitoring and recording pupil progress

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (essential)
  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is committed to inclusion and child-centred practice
  • Is willing to undertake training and develop professionally
