CERT Solutions are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils at a specialist school in Handsworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with children with a wide range of special educational needs.
The successful applicant will be working with pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD),), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). You will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, support pupils’ learning and development, and help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
The Role:
- Full time SEN Teaching Assistant position
- Long term opportunity with potential for permanent work
- Supporting pupils with ASD, SLD, and PMLD
- Assisting with classroom activities and individualised learning plans
- Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Helping with practical tasks, mobility, and personal care where required
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEN
- Be patient, resilient, and adaptable
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential
- The candidate will hold a relevant qualification i.e. Health & Social Care, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant
