CERT Solutions are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work at a wonderful SEN School from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with additional needs and help them reach their full potential.
About the role
As a SEN teaching assistant you will be working in a range of needs on a full time basis. The SEN TA will provide tailored support to students with a range of learning, emotional, and physical needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their personal and academic potential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide support, adapting learning materials to suit individual student needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons in a structured environment
- Implement positive behaviour management strategies and encourage student independence.
- Support students’ emotional well-being and social interactions.
Requirements
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a school environment (desirable).
- Patience, empathy, and an understanding of diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
- A flexible approach and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
