CERT Solutions are searching for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a specialist resource base at a lovely mainstream primary school in Aston. Supporting children with high needs autism, this is a full-time role starting in September 2025 and will run for the full academic year to July 2026.
The school are interested in speaking to candidates who have extensive experience within either SEN schools or primary resource bases, ideally with an autism specialism.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide tailored support to children with autism, helping them access learning and develop key life skills
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Be patient, resilient, and enthusiastic about making a real difference in children’s lives
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with autism and/or special educational needs (SEN)
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent)
- Experience within SEN schools or resource bases
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A calm, positive, and proactive approach to behaviour management
