We are seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join an excellent special school in West Bromwich. The school provides bespoke learning support for pupils with additional needs and is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a special school setting and demonstrate a strong understanding of how to support and adapt to the individual needs of each pupil. Applicants must be confident, flexible, and responsive in their approach to learning support.
The school is looking for someone who is consistent, passionate, and fully committed to making a positive impact on pupilsโ learning, development, and overall growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
Requirements
- A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Education, or SEN)
- Previous experience working in a school setting as a SEN Teaching Assistant
- A strong understanding of special educational needs
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
