We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to join a special school in Handsworth. This school supports a diverse cohort of learners ranging from EYFS to Post-16, all of whom have complex needs, including Autism (ASC) and challenging behaviours.

Location: Handsworth, Birmingham
Rate: £170 – £220 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time or Part-time (Temp-to-Perm)
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons that cater to a wide range of needs
- Implement positive behaviour management strategies (e.g., Team Teach) to support students with challenging behaviours.
- Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapists, OTs, and parents to ensure EHCP targets are met.
- Create a sensory-conscious and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning for pupils with ASC.
Requirements
- QTS
- You must have a proven track record of working with complex needs and ASC.
- Ability to teach across different key stages if required (EYFS to Post-16).
- Proficiency in or willingness to use alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton).
