CERT Solutions are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants (TAs) for a range of rewarding opportunities in primary schools across Birmingham, with roles available for September 2025 starts. Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time, long-term supply, or temp-to-perm or permanent roles, we want to hear from you!

We get a wide range of roles in from our schools and most will involve supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties

You will be expected to:

  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to support learning and development
  • Implement EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) targets in collaboration with class teachers and SENCOs
  • Use a variety of communication strategies, including visual aids and Makaton (if applicable)
  • Support behaviour management using positive reinforcement techniques
  • Help create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma, etc.)
  • Minimum 6 months UK school experience
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (primary/sen schools, nursery, care, youth work etc.)
  • A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the teaching and support team
