CERT Solutions are searching for someone who is looking to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs. We’re working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Streetly that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their resource base provision from September 2025.

This Full-time (Monday to Friday, term-time only), long-term role has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant in the school’s dedicated resource base, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs—including ASD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional challenges. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help deliver tailored interventions and ensure every child feels safe, supported, and able to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs
  • Implement strategies set by the SENCO and external professionals
  • Support personal care needs where required
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils and help manage behaviour sensitively
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (particularly in a primary or resource base setting)
  • Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Childcare or Health and Social Care)
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)

If you have the necessary skills and experience and would like to apply, please call Jamie on 0121 728 6677 or send across your up-to-date CV to Jamie@cert-solutions.co.uk.
