CERT Solutions are working with a lovely mainstream primary school in Sparkbrook who are looking to appoint a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with additional needs across the school. This may include working 1:1 with a child with an EHCP or providing small group support, both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers to adapt resources and differentiate learning
  • Implement strategies and interventions under guidance from the SENCO and external professionals
  • Monitor and record progress, contributing to review meetings and target setting
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language needs
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring and resilient attitude
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
