CERT Solutions is currently recruiting for multiple vacancies at a special school in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (08:50 – 15:10).

Setting: A specialist 11-19 secondary and sixth form environment.

Pay: £90 – £100 per day

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a range of complex needs, including ASD, MLD, SEMH, SLCN, and SLD.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of an engaging, life-skills-based curriculum.
  • Providing strong pastoral care to ensure students feel safe and supported.
  • Assisting in vocational areas to help students prepare for life after school.

Requirements

  • DBS: An Enhanced DBS that covers both Child and Adult workforces (this is essential due to the 11-19 age range and transition-to-adulthood focus).
  • Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 in either childcare, Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Reliability: Ability to commit to full-time hours (8:50am – 3:10pm), Monday to Friday.
  • Mindset: A resilient, empathetic nature and a passion for supporting complex needs (ASD/MLD/SEMH).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a specialist school or SEN setting is highly advantageous.
