Description
CERT Solutions are recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support a specialist Autism Resource Base within a primary school in Handsworth, Birmingham. This long-term role is set to begin in September 2025 and will run for the full academic year, with the potential to extend. Working hours are Monday to Friday during standard school hours.
You’ll work closely with experienced staff to provide tailored support to children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), both 1:1 and in small groups. The role focuses on helping pupils develop communication, emotional regulation, social skills, and access to learning across the curriculum.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with ASD/ASC (in school or alternative settings)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification, or equivalent) are essential
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A team player who is flexible and resilient
