Are you passionate about providing support and guidance to children with special educational needs?

CERT Solutions are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join a special school in Stourbridge, supporting across Key Stage 2 on a full-time basis.

As an SEN Support Assistant in this role, you’ll play a crucial role in providing individual support to students with a range of learning needs by supporting them socially and emotionally as well as academically. You’ll work closely with the class teachers and SENCO to implement tailored strategies, assist with classroom activities, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students and staff.

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a special school setting.
  • A patient, compassionate, and resilient attitude, with the ability to support students through challenging situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and respond to different challenges as they arise.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of children with SEN.
