We are currently recruiting for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to work within a special school in Handsworth, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with complex needs.
Role details:
Location: Handsworth
Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Pay: £13.69 per hour
Start: ASAP / Ongoing
Key responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with PMLD on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting with personal care, feeding, and mobility where required
Implementing care plans and working closely with teachers and therapists
Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience working with PMLD is essential
A relevant qualification is required (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning, Health & Social Care, or equivalent)
Experience within a special school or similar setting
Patient, compassionate, and reliable
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
