CERT Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate PMLD Teacher to join a fantastic special school based in Handsworth. This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday), working with pupils who have profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex physical needs, and sensory impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalised, multi-sensory lessons tailored to pupils with PMLD
- Support students’ physical development, including Rebound Therapy, fine and gross motor skills
- Use a wide range of sensory approaches to engage learners and support communication and regulation
- Work closely with therapists and support staff to ensure support for each child
- Provide personal care as required, with empathy, dignity and professionalism
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with PMLD learners in a special school or similar setting
- Strong understanding of physical and sensory development strategies
- Confident delivering Rebound Therapy and motor skill-based activities
- Comfortable supporting with personal care
- A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is essential
