CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a large secondary school in North Birmingham who require a full-time Physics Teacher to join their outstanding faculty.
About the role
The role is a temporary position as it’s covering an absent member of staff. You will be required to teach KS3, KS4 & KS5. Marking and planning will be required.

The school is a large secondary based in the Handsworth. They are rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 (£162 – £251 per day PAYE) depending on your current pay grade
What you’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative Physics lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for Science.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Physics (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Science and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
