CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a great secondary school based in Coventry who require a PE teacher, full time for a short term cover.
About the role
The role is a temporary position as its covering an absent member of staff. You will only be required to teach KS3 and KS4, both physical and practical. This may be the perfect opportunity for an ECT as well as well-established teacher.

The school is a large grammar school based in Coventry. They have a fantastic reputation and are known to be very supportive. They have a large onsite car park as well as great transport links.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 depending on your current pay grade
What you’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative KS3 & 4 PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for Physical Education.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Sports (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Physical and Theory Education and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
