CERT Solutions are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis in Tipton. As an integral member of our school community, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to pupils with SEN, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning objectives.
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs) under the guidance of the SENCO and classroom teachers.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every pupil feels valued and supported.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEN.
- Monitor and track the progress of pupils, providing regular feedback to the SENCO and adapting support strategies as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
- Knowledge of SEN support strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting the development of children with SEN.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).
